LICENSING FOR NONPROFITS WORKSHOP
Team of experts teach nonprofit executives the ins and outs of licensing

(New York) – A new workshop will teach nonprofits how to reap the benefits – and avoid the pitfalls – of developing, implementing and managing a licensing program at the June Cause Marketing Forum.

“Licensing for Nonprofits” will be offered from 9 am to 3 pm on Thursday, June 17 at The Yale Club, New York. The registration fee is $595.00. For more information, visit www.causemarketingforum.com or call (866) 205-8480.

Led by licensing expert Michelle Alfandari, the course is designed to benefit the novice and experienced by providing an insider's view of the licensing industry; a structured program for assessing licensing potential; and critical advice on developing or expanding a licensing program. It's a valuable opportunity to learn how to generate revenue, develop and/or increase a nonprofit’s intangible assets and spread awareness.

Michelle Alfandari, President, MODA International Marketing and Licensing, has helped nonprofits generate millions in licensing revenue. Her track record includes partnering the National Trust for Historic Preservation with Valspar to create a line of historic paint colors and licensing many home furnishings and decorative accessories for the Victoria and Albert Museum.

A dream team of nonprofit licensing experts will join Alfandari at the workshop:

Miriam Lenett, director, corporate marketing & licensing of the National Trust for Historic Preservation will provide nonprofit executive’s point of view

Pamela Deese, a partner in the Trademark, Copyright and Brand Management group of Dorsey & Whitney LLP will introduce participants to key legal and negotiation considerations of the license agreement

Barbara Krasne, co-founder of KrasnePlows will share her operational expertise working with non-profits to build and manage sustainable licensing programs.
